up-cycled vintage framed kimono picture
This vintage frame has been reused to frame up this gorgeous piece of Japanese kimono. The kimono dates from the 1970's and depicts a flying crane on an ivory background. There is gold metallic added to the fabric to add lustre.
The crane symbolises faithfulness, good fortune and longevity, fabled to live for a thousand years. An important image in New Year and at wedding ceremonies in Japan.
The frame measures 40cms high and 46.5cms wide, the frame itself is dark stained wood with some signs of age that adds to its character.
This item is unique, remade in the UK, truly a piece to treasure.
