up-cycled vintage framed kimono picture
This vintage frame has been reused to frame up this gorgeous piece of Japanese kimono. The kimono dates from the 1970's and depicts waves in black on an ivory background.
The wave or seigaiha is a pattern of layered concentric circles creating arches, symbolic of waves or water and represents surges of good luck. It can also signify power and resiliance.
The frame measures 28.5cms high and 23.5cms wide, the frame itself is black with some signs of age that adds to its character.
This item is unique, remade in the UK, truly a piece to treasure.
